Italy and Morocco have signed a fourth debt conversion agreement in Rabat worth 15 million euro. The agreement involves initiatives in the human resources, archaeological and health training sectors, while details of the projects that will be funded have yet to be provided. The ceremony was attended by the Moroccan Finance Minister Nizar Baraka, who, speaking of the long history of cooperation between the two countries, thanked Italy for all its support. Italy’s Ambassador to Morocco, Piergiorgio Cherubini, emphasised how, in spite of all the economic and political problems Italy is currently experiencing, it will continue to support Morocco in its now consolidated development. Appreciation was also expressed by the Initiative Nationale pour le Developpement Humain’ (INDH), the institution that will receive most of the funds deriving from this debt conversion. (AGI) .
