KINGSTON, Jamaica — The St Kitts & Nevis Ministry of Agriculture recently received 90 tons of fertilizer worth US$40,000, a donation from the Kingdom of Morocco in North Africa.
According to authorities in St Kitts the donation forms part of “an ongoing agricultural diversification, productivity and profitability in partnership with other agencies that deal with agriculture and agricultural practices”.
“This donation was as a result of a partnership among the Kingdom of Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation,” StK&N Acting Director of Agriculture, Thomas Jackson said in release from the Caribbean twin island state.
He added that the assistance was timely and was part of an effort to “reduce the cost of fertilizer for small farmers in the Federation.”
