Bicycle to the Casbah
POSTMEDIA NEWS APRIL 14, 2012
The Virginiabased Greenloons eco-touring company offers several afford-able, or as they call them, economical, itineraries that look to be worth checking out.
For example, the eight-day Morocco Adventure/Jabel Sahro Ride takes guests on a cycling tour through Morocco’s exotic south past the Draa Valley oases and through the volcanic towers of Bab ‘n’ Ali.
Groups are limited to 15 people. Guest visit Berber settlements, ancient Casbahs and the ridges of the Atlas Mountains.
The tour makes a stop at the famous Casbah of Ait Benhaddou, a majestic fortified city and then in Marrakech.
It is priced starting at $1,190 US per person and includes seven nights in hotels, a bicycle and transportation by jeep between certain places. Meals are not included and guests are told to budget about $200 US for meals. Visit greenloons.com.
