Morocco’s largest metropolis – Casablanca – on Sunday witnessed a rally against the Judaization of Jerusalem.
Protesters condemned the “heinous crimes” of Israeli authorities, “the destruction of sacred buildings and the Judaization of the city of three religions”, “falsifying its history to distort the multi-confessional nature of Jerusalem.” The event was attended by leaders of Morocco’s political movements, trade unions, civil society activists, human rights activists and cultural figures.
The demonstrators were joined by the Prime Minister, and head of the moderate Islamist Justice and Development Party Abdelilah Benkirane.
