Rabat – A Moroccan-Algerian journalists forum will be held in June or July, announced, on Sunday in Algiers, Communication Minister and Government Spokesperson Mustapha El Khalfi, who is on an official visit to Algeria.
El Khalfi told MAP that he discussed with his Algerian counterpart Nacer Mehal the idea to hold such a forum which will provide an opportunity to foster rapprochement between the two neighbourly countries.
The forum, he said, will bring Moroccan and Algerian journalists and publishers twice a year and will be held alternately in the two countries with a view to tackling issues of common concern.
El Khalfi added that the media can play a key role in promoting rapprochement between Morocco and Algeria.
