Rabat – Morocco’s democratic model, after the adoption of the new Constitution and the holding of the legislative elections of November 25, was highlighted, in Davos, Switzerland, by the head of government Abdelilah Benkirane.
Benkirane highlighted, at the first session of the World Economic Forum, the importance of HM King Mohammed VI’s speech of March 9, in which he announced constitutional reforms and a new conception of political action, which respond to Moroccans’ aspirations to dignity, democracy and social justice, Moroccan TV channel Al Oula reported on Friday.
The first session was marked by addresses by Tunisian Prime Minister Hamadi Jebali, and presidential candidates in Egypt, Abdelmoneim Aboul-Fotouh and Amr Moussa, who underlined changes taking place in North Africa, as well as social challenges related to them especially in terms of fight against poverty and unemployment.
