Morocco and Britain have signed on Saturday a post-Brexit bilateral trade agreement in London, said Moroccan official news agency MAP.
The agreement, signed by Moroccan Foreign Minister Nacer Bourita and British Minister for the Middle East and North Africa Andrew Murrison, restores all the advantages under the terms of Morocco-European Union association agreement.
This agreement will enter into force after Brexit, the report said, adding that it ensures a smooth transition and maintains fluidity of trade.
It also assures tariff-free trade of industrial products together with liberalization of trade in agricultural, agri-food and fishery products.
Murrison told reporters after the signing ceremony that the agreement will give exporters and consumers the certainty they need to continue trading freely and confidently.
For his part, Bourita welcomed what he called the convergence of interests, views and visions, which brings serenity to bilateral relations.
Trade between the UK and Morocco hit 3.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2018.
