Morocco and France have signed an agreement protocol to consolidate the Moroccan authorities’ competence in information systems security.
The document, signed here Monday by Minister-delegate for the National Defence Administration Abdeltif Loudyi, and French Secretary-General of Defence and National Security Francis Delon, is part of the consolidation of the deep friendship binding Morocco and France, the Moroccan National Defence Administration said in a statement.
It provides for developing over the long term co-operation in cyber-security and upgrading the Moroccan authorities’ competence in information technology (IT) systems security, through the exchanges of experience, information and expertise.
It will also contribute to developing the capacities of the State information systems security general directorate of the National Defence Administration.
The Moroccan and French officials expressed satisfaction at the French-Moroccan vibrant co-operation and depth of bilateral ties based on mutual respect, long-standing friendship and reciprocal confidence, the statement said.
