China Eyes Investment in Moroccan Fisheries, Aquaculture Sectors

Morocco’s secretary of state for fisheries, Mbarka Bouaida, and China’s Wang Luming, deputy mayor of Qingdao in Shandong province, held talks in Rabat on July 26 about cooperation in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors, Morocco World News reported.

Wang led a large delegation of representatives from government sectors and private companies, who showed interest in Morocco’s potential.

Bouaida presented an overview of the country’s assets. He said the meeting “was very interesting” as China is a leading global player in aquaculture.
