Members of the Libyan Parliament arrived in Ghadamis on Thursday on board a Libyan Airlines plane from Morocco, to take part in the anticipated meeting in the city, of the Parliament in accordance with the outcome of the consultative meetings held in Tangier.
The members were welcomed at the airport by the Head and members of the Ghadamis Municipal Council, Elders and Sheikhs as well as Police officers and security officials.
However, Ghadmis has witnessed a furore of activity in the last days in anticipation of the convening of the Parliament meeting there. Lana correspondent reported Police and security apparatus were in full swing, with stationery and mobile patrols at the entrances, to ensure security and stability of the area.
