In Morocco, the first academic year of the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Training Institute (IFMEREE-Tangiers) was launched by the Minister of Education, Saïd Amzazi.
The institute will award diplomas of qualified technicians who can integrate companies of the sector of the renewable energies or the energy efficiency. It also offers continuing education and advanced training for those already active in the sector.
In addition to its classrooms and conference room, the institute also has mini-electric units that will be used for the practical phase of the training, as well as a 152-bed boarding school.
For this year, which begins on October 1 st , it welcomes 144 learners who will be trained in the subsectors of solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind, biomass and energy efficiency. By the beginning of the next school year, this figure is expected to rise to 400 learners.
The project to set up this institute was launched in 2015. It cost $ 10 million that were mobilized among others from the French Development Agency and the European Union.
This institute is the second of its kind implanted in the kingdom, after that of Oujda, and before that of Ouarzazate.
