Is it too early to start thinking about the 2020 summer travel season? American Airlines is already showing off its big plans for next summer. The carrier just announced a new roster of international flights for the summer of 2020. Here’s a look at the new routes coming up:

  • Chicago (ORD) to Krakow (KRK) will begin on May 7.
  • Chicago (ORD) to Budapest (BUD) will begin on May 7.
  • Chicago (ORD) to Prague (PRG) will begin on May 8.
  • Philadelphia (PHL) to Casablanca (CMN) will begin on June 4.
  • Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) to Tel Aviv (TLV) will begin on Sept. 9.

American’s new service to Casablanca, Morocco marks a milestone for the airline. The Morocco route will bring American Airlines to Africa for the first time. The new route will also make American the only carrier in the United States to offer direct service to Casablanca. Direct service to the iconic city will be offered three times per week using the carrier’s Boeing 757 aircraft.

The updated roster for 2020 will make American the only US carrier to provide service to Prague, Krakow and Budapest from Chicago. However, that’s not the end of the excitement. American will offer more premium seats to Eastern Europe than any other carrier in the United States once 2020’s summer schedule is up and running. American Airlines plans to operate all of these new European summer flights using the Boeing 787-8 aircraft that offers 20 Flagship Business seats along 28 Premium Economy seats.

The summer of 2019 may be winding down. However, American’s decision to unveil its list of new routes for next summer could help to erase the end-of-summer blues for travel lovers. Fares for almost all of the new routes are already for sale.
