Marrakech, Barceló PalmeraieThe Barceló Hotel Group has invested more than 35 million euros in the acquisition of a spectacular resort in Marrakech, Barceló Palmeraie.
Located in the north of Marrakech, in the famous palm grove, next to Palmeraie Golf and just 11km from Marrakech-Menara airport, this five-star resort reflects an ancient Moroccan palace surrounded by 140,000m2 of walled gardens.
With 252 rooms and suites and two outdoor swimming pools, this peaceful oasis is perfect for families and couples alike.
Younger travellers will be well entertained at the new Mini Club and Kids Club, whilst couples can enjoy relaxing and unwinding at the wellness centre which is fully equipped with a gym, four treatment rooms and hammam.
When it comes to dining, guests can enjoy a varied culinary offering from the relaxed pool bar and buffet style restaurant to an a la carte international restaurant and a Moroccan-style restaurant. With 10 meeting rooms, it is also the perfect setting to host an event or conference for up to 400 people.
This acquisition includes two additional sites: the first is located next to the hotel and there are plans to build 120 new rooms to add to the existing offering at Barceló Palmeraie. The second expansion plan is to build a new five-star 160 room-hotel in the city centre.
