Morocco has revised upward its GDP growth rate in 2018 to 3.6 percent from initially estimated 3.2 percent.
The revision was announced by the Moroccan Finance and Economy Minister Mohamed Boussaid during the weekly cabinet meeting on Thursday.
The minister said that this upward revision is due mainly to a good farming season.
Late but abundant rainfall helped save Morocco’s agricultural season, which has a strong effect on the country’s economic growth.
Agriculture contributes 15 percent to Morocco’s GDP.
