Ambassador of Morocco to Russia said that a delegation of tourism industry representatives from Rabat will visit Russia next week to hold talks on strengthening tourism cooperation between the countries.

A delegation of tourism industry representatives from Rabat will visit Russia next week to hold talks on strengthening tourism cooperation between the countries, Ambassador of Morocco to Russia Abdelkader Lecheheb told Sputnik on Thursday.
“A large tourism delegation will visit Russia next week, in order to lay new foundations for starting a fruitful tourist exchange between the two countries,” Lesheheb said in an interview.
The Moroccan ambassador added that the two sides would increase business meetings to make more progress, corresponding with the intent of Russian and Moroccan leadership.
In 2014, trade between Morocco and Russia reached $2.5 billion, according to Lesheheb.
In June 2014, Moroccan Minister of Tourism Lahcen Haddad said the country sought to attract tourists from emerging economies, especially Russia.
