Four terror suspects of Moroccan origin were arrested Saturday (January 24th) in Ceuta, AFP reported.

The two pairs of brothers had “a very similar profile” to the terrorists behind the deadly attack on French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, Spanish Interior Minister Jorge Fernandez Diaz told reporters.

The Spanish suspects also had a “firm determination… to commit an attack and if necessary sacrifice themselves and die in the attempt”, he said.

The Ceuta four suspects were inspired by online messages from the Islamic State (IS) terror group.

“They formed part of a jihadist cell fully prepared and willing to launch an attack in Spain,” the ministry statement said.
