U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden is scheduled to visit Morocco, Ukraine and Turkey in mid- November, the White House said Monday.
The veep will lead a U.S. delegation to a Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Moroccan city of Marrakech. While in Ukraine, he will meet with President Petro Poroshenko, with whom he has had regular talks over the phone about the unending crisis in the country’s east.
In Turkey, Biden will meet with its president and prime minister, as the United States and its NATO ally are clashing over how best to fight the Islamic State extremist group.
Biden will make his trip during the week of Nov. 17, the White House said in a statement.
