An EU ‘twinning’ project aiming at supporting the reinforcement of the institutional capacities of the Moroccan Investment Development Agency (AMDI) has come to an end, with the closing conference taking place this week. The project, funded by the European Union with a budget of €250,000 over a six-month period (January-July 2013), was implemented in partnership with Germany, in the framework of the Support Programme to the EU-Morocco Action Plan.

The key results achieved reached by the project include:

The development of after-care service through the improvement of instruments and tools at the disposal of investors and the expansion of service delivery in the field.
The reinforcement of the capacities of the ‘Studies and Monitoring’ service through the improvement of the tools used to promote Morocco to foreign investors.
The implementation of a system of strategic and operational performance indicators through the publication of regular reports.

Fifteen German and Polish experts were involved to extend their experience to the AMDI through missions, training and information seminars in Morocco, as well as study visits to German and Polish investment promotion agencies. The partners could therefore exchange good practices and implement effectively the experts’ recommendations concerning the working tools used.(EU Neighbourhood Info)
