Morocco praises ties with Kuwait

Moroccan Foreign Minister Saad-Eddine El Othmani hailed Monday ties between Morocco and Kuwait which he described as “historic and very strong.” The minister made his remarks to KUNA on the sidelines of his attendance of the International Conference on Nuclear Security, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency, or the IAEA.
The minister said ties between the Moroccan King and Kuwaiti Amir goes back accross many centuries and in various areas, involving strong cooperation among the various ministries of both countries and exchanged vital investments.
El Othmani praised as well the outcomes of the seventh meeting of the joint Kuwaiti-Moroccan committee, held last month in Kuwait, and thanked the Kuwaiti leadership and people for organizing these meetings.
The Moroccan minister also addressed his participation in the international nuclear security conference, which is being held under the slogan “Enhancing Global Efforts,” adding that such a gathering comes to highlight international nuclear security efforts by reviewing past achievements, current approaches and identifying future trends.
The conference is hosting more than 1,300 registered participants, including some 34 government ministers and other heads of delegation from 123 states, as well as 21 governmental and non-governmental organizations, the conference provides a forum for ministers, policymakers and senior officials to formulate views on future directions and priorities to strengthen nuclear security.
