Moroccan Ambassador to Bahrain Ahmed bin Rashid Al-Khatabi has called for the need to upgrade Bahraini-Moroccan economic relations so as to match the advanced level of the political ties spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
Speaking during the press conference of the Bahrain Businesswomen Society (BBS) on the sidelines of its participation at the third GCC-Moroccan Investment Forum, held from in Tangiers from May 6 to 8, he said that openness, freedoms and the democratic practices in both kingdoms have had a positive impact on enhancing economic development and business freedom in Morocco and Bahrain.
He added that Bahrain’s participation in the forum has consolidated joint cooperation between the two kingdoms, in particular, and GCC and Morocco, in general.
On her part, BBS President Ahlam Janahi said that the participation of BBS in the forum has opened up new investment horizons for male and female investors in Morocco, noting that BBS aims to sign joint agreements with Moroccan businesswomen so as to develop economic ties between GCC countries and Morocco.
She added that BBS will promote the investment opportunities available in Morocco.
