Spanish InCom company, a multinational group dedicated to the engineering, design and manufacture of composite kits for the wind blade industry, has taken a new step in its international expansion with the opening of its first factory on the African continent, more precisely in the Northern Moroccan city of Tangier.
The plant, which started its activities a few days ago, will supply wind turbine kits to industrial giants in the sector already installed in Northern Morocco, such as German Siemens Gamesa or the Chinese Aeolon, reports le360.ma news website.
The new factory, extending over 3,000 m², required an investment of €1.5 million. It will help meet the growing demand for wind turbines necessary for the production of electricity from renewable sources.
In concrete terms, the new Tangier plant, which has been operational for a few days, will produce the fiberglass and composite elements that make up the wind turbine blades. These elements will then be assembled and coated with resins in the factories of Incom’s major clients in the city.
The Spanish manufacturer of wind blades already has factories in the United Kingdom, Poland, China and India. The company’s turnover exceeds €65 million.
