Vivo Energy PLC on Thursday said it has, at all times, complied with competition rules in Morocco in the face of a regulatory probe.
The Conseil de la Concurrence in Morocco is conducting a review into competition in the North African country’s fuel retailing industry. Vivo is a retailer of Royal Dutch Shell PLC-branded fuel products.
Vivo said it has another two months to make submissions to the regulator, before a final review is submitted ahead of a judgement.
“Vivo Energy believes Vivo Energy Maroc has at all times conducted its operations in accordance with applicable competition laws, rules and regulations and will make further announcements on this matter as and when necessary,” said Vivo.
Shares were 0.3% higher in London on Thursday morning in early trade at 117.60 pence each, and Johannesburg shares were untraded, last quoted at a price of ZAR21.80 each.
