Tangier production plant will help Renault expand in the low-cost segment under its new Dacia Lodgy, CEO of Renault group, Carlos Ghosn said.
“Tangier plant will assemble our entry-level vehicles,” Ghosn told the Moroccan daily, Le Matin.
To reach the plants ultimate production capacity (350,000 cars annually), Renault is preparing for the opening of a second assembly line in the platform, he added.
Ghosn said that other models will be produced in the plant, adding that the new factory will spawn 6000 direct jobs and 30,000 indirect jobs.
