Paints and sealants specialist STTS has launched a joint venture with Moroccan flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) to provide painting MRO services. The JV, STTS Maroc, opened in September and operates from a new facility at Casablanca’s Mohammed 5th International Airport. The JV will provide painting services for narrowbody aircraft, particularly the 737 and the A320, for RAM and third-party clients.
STTS says the new facility will employ 30 technicians when it is fully operational. Headquartered in Toulouse, STTS owns 15 painting hangars worldwide and last year painted 360 aircraft.
