Sealynx Automotive Morocco, part of the French GMD (Groupe Mécanique Découpage) group, has inaugurated a new industrial facility at Tanger Automotive City (TAC), an investment of Mad 232 million (€26.56 million).
The new 12,600 m² facility, manufacturing sealing systems for the local automotive plants of Renault and PSA (Peugeot), will be the company’s second in TAC.
Sealynx Automotive Morocco plans to strengthen its position as a leader in the local market and is aiming at exporting to Southern European car markets, and develop a centre for developing new products for the local market.
Tanger Automotive City (TAC) industrial platform is one of the business parks integrated into the Tanger Med project.
Launched within the framework of the National Pact for Industrial Emergence, Tanger Automotive City is part of the roll-out of a Moroccan offer for businesses associated with “Global businesses of Morocco” [Métiers mondiaux du Maroc], in particular for development of the automotive industry.
TAC enables the roll-out of industrial, logistics and service activities in the immediate vicinity of the Renault Tanger Med plant (less than 2 km) and automotive suppliers based in the Tanger Free Zone (less than 25 km).
