Casablanca-Beijing route was launched this Friday and will have three frequencies a week. Moroccan company also flies to Brazil.

Beijing – Moroccan air company Royal Maroc has just launched a nonstop flight between Casablanca and Beijing, China. The 13-hour inaugural flight landed this Friday (17) at Beijing Daxing International Airport, Moroccan news agency MAP reported. The airline also has nonstop Brazil-Morocco flights.
The route will have three frequencies a week; flights from Casablanca will be scheduled every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 5 pm. (local time) for an arrival in Beijing at 11:55 am (Beijing time). Flights from Beijing will be scheduled every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 1:55 pm. for an arrival in Casablanca at 7:55 pm.
The flights are operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner with a capacity of 302 passengers, including 26 in the business class.
MAP reports that the Mohamed V International Airport in Casablanca is one of Africa’s main airport hubs, having received over 10 million passengers in 2019, while Beijing Daxing is huge and new airport that has opened just three months ago.
This is the first Royal Air Maroc flight to the Far East. In Asia, the company currently operates to Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Qatar, and Jordan.

Al Fakir expects positive results for tourism
Moroccan National Tourist Office director general Adel Al Fakir said that the new flight is a significant development for tourism in Morocco, as China is now the sector’s main market in the world.
In 2016, the North African country exempted Chinese tourists from visa requirements. In less than four years, the number of Chinese tourists went from 14,000 to more than 148,000.
