Qatar’s Court of Cassation and its Moroccan counterpart have signed a twinship accord.
The accord was signed for Qatar by HE Massoud Mohamed al-Amri, the head of the Court of Cassation who is also the president of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), and for Morocco, by Moustafa Faris, the president of that country’s Court of
Cassation.
The accord regulates ties of co-operation and co-ordination between the two courts in the inner organisation and their departments and sections. It also provides for holding seminars and symposia for the judges in addition to the periodical exchange of the groups of rules and judicial principles between them.
The accord signing ceremony was attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Morocco, Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Turki, and the delegation accompanying the SJC
president.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was also signed on advertising and regulating the financial assistance Qatar will provide for the construction of the new headquarters of the Supreme Judicial Institute in Morocco.
