Morocco’s state grains agency approves import of 576,000 T of EU wheat

Morocco’s state grains agency ONICL has approved the import of 576,000 tonnes of reduced-tariff European Union soft wheat in a tender that closed on Tuesday, it said.

The award represented the entire volume of soft wheat available in the tender.

The wheat should should arrive in Morocco by Jan. 31 next year at the latest, ONICL said in a statement on its website.

The agency also approved in the tender 5,000 tonnes of imports of EU durum wheat out of 45,455 tonnes available.
