The 12th Salon du Cheval, Morocco’s flagship horse exhibition, closed Sunday in the Atlantic city of El Jadida.
The week-long exhibition themed under “Horse in Morocco’s Ecosystem” attracted more than 100 equestrian suppliers and manufacturers from 35 countries.
The exhibition features various events, including an Arabian horse show with world-class horses, Barb horse championship competition, jumping show and local fantasia competition.
As stated by official statistics, this edition attracted more than 220,000 visitors, with more than 1,000 horses and over 700 riders participating in performance or competition.
According to the organizers, horses are of great significance in Moroccan traditional culture, thus the horse exhibition is dedicated to promoting the development of the Moroccan horse industry and providing a platform for exchanges between professionals and investors in the sector.
Since its inauguration in 2008, the Salon du Cheval in El Jadida has been developed into an influential business and cultural event in the Maghreb region.
