Morocco’s CPI rises 1.4% y/y in September – planning agency

Morocco’s consumer price index rose by 1.4% year-on-year in September after falling 0.3% in August, the high commission for planning said on Thursday.

Food prices rose by 2.9%, while non-food inflation increased by 0.5%. On a month-on-month basis, the index rose by 0.3%.

Core CPI, which excludes prices of volatile goods, slipped by 0.1% month-on-month and rose 0.1% year-on-year.
