The Moroccan government has launched a tender for Global Mobile for Personal Communication System (GMPCS) mobile satellite phone service licences. Interested parties have until 2 December to purchase the bidding documents for MAD 24,000. It was reported in July that the two applicants for GMPCS licences, CLS Maroc and Global Satellite Morocco, were turned down in the first tender, when VSAT and trunked radio network licences were awarded.
