Security Council reflects appreciation of the King’s role

Amman, Dec. 8 (Petra)–Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Al Hassan Abdel Khaliq voiced happiness for electing Jordan as a non-permanent member at the UN Security Council for 2014-2015 term.
The ambassador said in a press statement that said the Kingdom’s elections comes as an appreciation of the role of His Majesty King Abdullah II in servicing the goals and principles of the UN and of Jordan participation in peace keeping missions around the world.
“Morocco is fully aware that Jordan will shoulder its responsibilities in serving international peace and security and in defending Arab and Islamic causes, mainly the Palestinian issue,” he added.
The ambassador also expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Jordan to ensure the success of its mission at the UN Security council.
