Morocco has set the goal of joining the 50 most powerful economies of the globe by 2021, said Head of the Government, Saad Eddine El Othmani.

El Othmani, who was speaking at the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum in Malaysia, said that Morocco has taken the necessary reforms to achieve that goal, citing notably the efforts taken to improve the business climate, which enabled Morocco to improve its ranking in the Doing Business Index from the 128th position in 2010 to the 69th in 2017.

Morocco, the fifth largest African economy, is taking actions in favor of the continent’s integration in implementation of the vision of King Mohammed VI.

The Forum, a platform for exchange between international entrepreneurs and the Muslim economic world, is bringing together some 2,500 participants.
