The Arab Clubs Champions Cup also known as Mohammed VI Champions Cup will wind up on August 21 with the final, two years after the kickoff, due to the covid-19 pandemic.
The Union of Arab Football Associations, UAFA, set the date Tuesday. Morocco’s Raja Casablanca and Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad will lock horns at Moulay Abdallah stadium in the Moroccan capital Rabat.
The future champions will land $6 million as a prize while the runner-up will pocket $2.5 million.
Raja axed Egypt’s Ismaily to book their place in the final whereas the Jeddah-based side got rid of their rival Al-Shabab FC of capital Riyadh.
The tournament commenced in August 2019 but had to be suspended because of the preventive measures put in place to curb coronavirus contaminations.
