Electrical cable manufacturer MATIS Aerospace has started construction of a 4,380m2 expansion at its plant in Casablanca, Morocco.
MATIS Aerospace, a joint venture between Safran’s Labinal Power Systems and Boeing, is to begin producing engine harnesses for the LEAP engine and electrical harnesses for Boeing’s 737, 777 and 787 aircraft over the next four years.
The JV said it is expanding its manufacturing plant to accommodate an increased Boeing workload, which it expects to create 400 jobs. The build is due for completion next year.
