BAMAKO, July 6 (Xinhua) — Mali’s transitional prime minister Dr. Cheick Modibo Diarra left Bamako on Thursday for an official visit to Morocco.
“The prime minister’s visit to Morocco is meant to reinforce cooperation relations between the two countries,” a statement from the Malian government said.
During his stay, which was not specified in the statement, the Malian premier will hold discussions on Morocco-Mali relations through meetings with the highest authorities in the country.
He will also use the opportunity to inform his hosts about his government’s efforts in achieving the tasks that it was assigned, notably recovering the occupied zones in northern Mali and organizing free and fair elections.”
