Rabat  –  Malian Prime Minister Sheikh Modibo Diarra, who is on a working visit to Morocco, called on Friday on Morocco to use the trust it enjoys internationally to help Mali recover its territorial integrity and sovereignty by all possible means.

“I came to ask Morocco, King, Government and people, to make use of the trust it enjoys on the international scene to help Mali recover its territorial integrity and sovereignty by all possible means,” Modibo Diarra told the press following a meeting with head of the government Abdelilah Benkirane.

Diarra said that his visit aims also to brief Moroccan officials about the situation prevailing currently in Mali.

“What is going on in Mali concerns not only my country, but also all Africa and mainly the sub-region,” he affirmed.

“I seize this opportunity to thank HM King Mohammed VI and, through him, all the Moroccan people for the promptness with which this brotherly and friendly country responded to the call” made by Mali to help it recover its territorial integrity, adding that the Kingdom was the first country to answer the call.
