The foreign ministers of Greece and Morocco, Nikos Dendias and Nasser Bourita, declared their opposition regarding the agreements the Tripoli government signed and the outside intervention in Libya, during their meeting in Rabat on Wednesday, int.ert.gr reports.
Mr. Dendias reiterated that the deals signed between Turkey and Libya are entirely out of the scope of international law, are illegal and have no legal effect.
The Greek Foreign Minister also noted that these agreements violate the Skhirat Agreement, which is the legal basis for Libyan statehood, and that they represent an attempt to usurp the sovereign rights of third countries in the Mediterranean, thus undermining stability in Libya and the wider region.
For his part, Mr. Bourita said that these legal commitments and political positions brought by various implicated parties in Libya serve foreign agendas and have nothing to do with the interests of the Libyan people.
