EP’s International Trade Committee Approves Morocco-EU Agreement On Reciprocal Liberalization Of Agricultural Products

Brussels – The European Parliament’s International Trade Committee voted on Thursday in favour of the EU-Morocco Agreement on reciprocal liberalisation measures on agricultural products, processed agricultural products, fish and fishery product.

Part of the Morocco-EU Association Agreement, the Agreement was adopted with 23 votes in favour, 5 against and one abstention.

The Agreement was signed in September 13, 2010 following the ratification by the European Council and the European Commission after the negotiations that took place between the two parties in November 2009.
