The committee for governance and implementing the national dialogue outcome of the National Dialogue Conference Thursday discussed a paper on the experiments of South Africa and Morocco in the field of reconciliation and equity, which was presented by Dr. Hassan Al-Haj Ali, the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Economic Studies at the University of Khartoum.

The paper referred to issuance of the Reconciliation and National Unity Law after the ending of apartheid.

The paper also pointed to formation of the committee for reconciliation and truth in South Africa which has called for enhancement to the reform at the state’s institutions and sectors with the aim to prevent the violations in human rights that happened in South Africa.

Dr. Hassan Al-Haj Ali said in a press statement at the media centre of the national dialogue that the Moroccan experiment was successful in forming the Equity and Justice Commission for guaranteeing justice and political stability in the country.

The deliberations on the paper affirmed the importance to commitment to justice and social and economic stability, besides the continuity of institutions.
