The Head of the Moroccan House of Councilors, Hakim Benchmach, has affirmed his country’s support for the Libyan-Libyan dialogue and efforts to overcome the obstacles hindering the establishment of a political solution.
During his meeting with the President of the High Council of State (HCS), Khaled Al-Mashri, Benchmach said his government is committed to encouraging dialogue between Libyans; to reach a final political settlement.
“The Kingdom of Morocco considers that a consensual political solution is the only way out of the crisis,” Benchmach added.
He also reiterated his confidence that Libyans will reach a final solution that satisfies all parties in a way that responds to the aspirations of the Libyan people for security, stability, and development.
Meanwhile, Libya’s HCS head praised the kingdom’s role in reaching a consensual political solution agreed upon by all parties.
Al-Mishri reiterated that Morocco was a crucial player in bringing the parties closer to each other, which would pave the way towards a final political settlement in Libyan.
