Deal to create technological center to process red meat
An Italian technological center in Morocco to process red meat is part of a memorandum of agreement signed by foreign trade institute ICE with the Moroccan agency for food security ONSSA, on the sidelines of the mission to Morocco led by the Deputy Minister for development, Carlo Calenda.
The project vies ”to transfer Italian technology to Morocco, train specialized workers in the sector and for Morocco to adopt processing rules abiding by international health recommendations”. The ministry for development allocated 220,000 euros to buy Italian machinery to be used at a Moroccan meat processing center recognized by ONSSA. (ANSAmed).
