Morocco’s trade deficit for January-June stood at 100 billion dirhams, an increase of 7.1 per cent from the same period last year, data from the foreign exchange regulator showed on Tuesday.
Receipts from tourism, transfers by Moroccan expatriates mostly based in the euro zone and foreign investment came to 66.3 billion dirhams in the six months to the end of June versus 66 billion dirhams a year earlier, Office des Changes’ data.
