Washington – Spokesperson of US Department of State, Victoria Nuland, highlighted on Friday the Moroccan-American shared vision concerning the crisis in Syria, lauding the leadership of Morocco at the United Nations Security Council, on behalf of the Arab League.
“At the UNSC, Morocco plays a leading role, on behalf of the Arab League, concerning the Syrian issue,” Nuland said during her daily press briefing, adding that Rabat and Washington have similar points of view on this matter.
US secretary of state Hillary Clinton had a “good discussion” Thursday with Moroccan peer Saad Dine El Otmani on the Syrian crisis and efforts made by UN and Arab League envoy Kofi Annan, she added.
