Paris – Victims of terrorism around the world, who met in Paris as part of their seventh International Congress, opened on Thursday, thanked Morocco for supporting this event which celebrates and enables them to make their voices heard.
³We thank the Kingdom of Morocco for the donation it gave us to support the Congress,² said Guillaume Denoix de Saint Marc, director of the event, opening their sessions under the patronage of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Four days after the 10th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001, victims of terrorist acts from over 35 countries including Morocco are brought together for the first time in Paris, to voice their suffering and raise the public opinion awareness on atrocity of these acts, ³condemnable in all respects.²
The conference, organized by The French Association for Victims of Terrorism (AfVT.org ), gives them a chance to speak ³in a political and religious neutrality² to the representatives of the countries most affected by terrorism and many international experts invited to discuss ways to fight against radicalization that could lead to these tragic events.
