Madrid – The United Nations Secretary-General’s personal envoy for the Sahara, Christopher Ross, held, on Friday in Madrid, talks with Spains Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Juan Antonio Yanez-Barnuevo.
During the meeting, the two officials discussed the informal talks on the Sahara and the efforts made within the framework of the United Nations to reach a just, sustainable and mutually acceptable political solution by the parties to the Sahara issue, Spanish Foreign Affairs Ministry says.
Ross visit to Spain is part of a tour to several countries, started on October 14 in Washington, the Spanish Ministry adds in a statement received by MAP-Madrid.
After Washington and Madrid, the UN Secretary-General’s personal envoy will visit Paris, Moscow, London and Geneva, the same source notes.
