UK wheat exporters target Morocco following severe drought

UK exporters are targeting extra Moroccan wheat demand after a poor growing season caused by a severe drought in the North African country.

The latest Agriculture & Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and Home Grown Cereals Authority (HGCA) North Africa Grain Update said while growing conditions had been generally favourable in the region this year, Morocco would require an extra 1.5 million tonnes of wheat over the coming season due to a serious drought.
