UAE-based Kharabel and Moroccan firm Nareva have won a contract to develop a 300-megawatt wind farm in southern Morocco from state power utility ONE, local newspaper Les Echos reported on Wednesday.
Quoting ONE’s legal advisers, Chadbourne & Parke, the newspaper said the consortium valued the project in the Tarfaya region at $350 million. A spokesperson for ONE could not immediately comment the report.
The project would be Africa’s biggest wind farm. –Reuters
