The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has granted Morocco 94 million U.S. dollars to finance socio-economic development projects.

The grant agreement was signed on Wednesday in Rabat, between Moroccan Minister of Finance Mohamed Benchaaboun and Brooke Isham, mission director for USAID in Morocco.

The grant will help develop integrated local development program in the regions of Marrakech-Safi and Beni Mellal-Khenifra, said a statement of the Moroccan Ministry of Finance.

It will also support activities that reinforce community resilience, and provide services to at-risk youth in vulnerable communities, it added.
