Tunis , October 23, 2011 –
Tunisia’s interim president Fouad Mbazaa hoped a settlement to be reached of the Sahara issue in order to consolidate the Maghrebi edifice.
“I hope that a compromise is reached in order to reach a final settlement to this issue, acceptable to all parties,” he said in an interview Sunday in Tunisian newspaper “Assabah” in response to a question about the future of the Arab Maghreb Union after the Tunisian revolution and the fall of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi.
“The Maghreb Union is now put to the test of the Sahara issue,” said Tunisian interim President.
